HEPA-O, short for Health-Enhancing Physical Activity Olympics, is an initiative led by BG Be Active with a simple yet powerful mission: to help educators lead by example. Because when teachers are active, confident and empowered, students follow and entire school cultures begin to shift towards health.

The project brings together educators from Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia not just PE teachers but all teachers and invites them to experience what it means to live health-enhancing physical activity. Through trainings, inclusive events and community-driven challenges, we’re turning teachers into HEPA ambassadors: role models who inspire change, not just for a day, but for a lifetime.

HEPA-O isn’t just about movement. It’s about belonging and showing that a healthy life is not a luxury-it’s a right that starts in our schools.
